Holy Cross is the cathedral church of the The Anglican Diocese of the South. Our Bishop is the Most Reverend Foley Beach who is also Archbishop and Primate of the the Anglican Church in North America. As part of the ACNA we are in communion with millions of Anglicans around the world.
The Anglican Church in North America unites some 110,000 Anglican Christians in more than 1,000 congregations across the United States and Canada. The ACNA is recognized as a Province of the global Anglican Communion by Primates representing the majority of Anglicans worldwide.
Members of the Anglican Church in North America continue in our Anglican heritage - a biblically-faithful way of following Jesus and being part of the “one holy catholic and apostolic Church". As Anglicans, this faith is defined by the Bible and is expressed in our tradition's classic formularies – the Book of Common Prayer, including the Ordinal, and the Thirty-nine Articles – which all point back to the authority of the Bible and articulate foundational principles of the Anglican tradition throughout the world. We wholeheartedly embrace the Jerusalem Declaration, the founding declaration of the global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, and the Theological Statement of the Common Cause Partnership – the precursor to the Anglican Church in North America.
